Our lab is actively involved in three-dimensional structure characterization of macromolecules using X-ray crystallography as a primary tool, with an increasing emphasis on functional studies. We apply crystallographic, biophysical, biochemical and cell biology methods to study sdveral classes of biologically important proteins. Current projects focus on phosphatases & kinases, bacterial structural genomics and EF-hand calcium-binding proteins.

Our well-equipped protein crystallography lab is funded by the Faculty of Health Sciences at Queen's University, Canada Foundation for Innovation (CFI) and Ontario provincial government. Our research is supported by operating grants from the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) and Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC).
